Aerial Reconnaissance School DOVZHYK

founded by dedicated volunteers from Dnipro Сity

The project purpose:

to train aerial surveillance combat units to proficiently and safely operate UAVs (drones) for air reconnaissance, target acquisition and related tasks.

About us

DOVZHYK school stands as the largest Ukrainian volunteer educational project to date, the only one that holds a unique distinction as the only initiative with direct collaboration with the General Staff of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

45

qualified instructors verified by Victory Drones are involved

DOVZHYK is focused on providing free professional training for both conscripted and contract military personnel within the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and Territorial Defence units. The primary objective of this initiative is to equip militaries with the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively using multicopter-type Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for aerial reconnaissance.

This training program addresses a critical gap in the initial absence of AFU’s training centres and qualified instructors to prepare UAV operators for combat missions, a problem that gained significance as civilian UAVs were not officially listed in the AFU’s arms register.

Successful training sessions conducted in more than 40 AFU brigades, including artillery, reconnaissance, marine corps, and tank units, among others:

  • 14, 23, 28, 43, 53, 54, 57, 66, 67, 92, 93, 95, 113, 115, 128 Mechanized Brigades
  • 26, 44, 55, 406 Separate Artillery Brigades
  • 16, 56, 59 Separate Motorized Infantry Brigades
  • 1, 36, 503 Marine Corps Battalions
  • 74, 130, 131 Reconnaissance Battalions
  • the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade
